Temperature Control
The temperature control was ideal for our situation. Winters here are not extremely cold so we do not have to worry about below freezing temperatures most winters, so I needed something that I could control the temperature on so that it didn’t overheat the dog house. The temperature control is easy to use and easy to set at the desired temperature.

Great for covered deck dog house - Salt Lake City Winter

Our dog LOVES to be outside on our covered deck in his house whenever we're gone so he can enjoy the fresh air and watch the birds and things, but even though he's big (175 lb labradoodle) winters in Salt Lake can be quite long and quite cold. This is the perfect thing for taking the edge off and cold enough to enable him to enjoy his house for much longer stretches of time outside! It works fast and is especially effective with a thick blanket draped over the house when it's really cold. It's quiet and runs efficiently and he's never paid any interest in it whatsoever, but it's SUPER sturdy and well built, such that even the naughtiest or most curious of dogs won't be able to chew it up or damage it. The instructions are also clear and easy to follow. It's pretty idiot proof!

Perfect!
Works great! My dogs live outside where they prefer to be. We built a big dog house and insulated it and installed this heater. I climbed in myself in below zero temps one night to see just how warm it was. My dogs are my babies but I cannot make them come inside when they would rather be outside... This sucker was so warm I know I could have slept in the dog house without a blanket in the middle of winter and not have frozen to death. Since dogs have a fur coat- I know they were just fine!
